Boise Personal Branding Photography for Entrepreneurs & Business Owners | Routinely riley
I had a blast wandering around Boise on a full day personal branding photoshoot for Riley Fish. Riley focuses his personal brand, Routinely Riley, on self improvement, so we purposefully planned his photoshoot around highlighting different areas of self improvement he focuses on as well as creating a strong collection of branding images for Riley to use across his different platforms.
I find my clients get the most value from their photoshoots when we vary our locations and wardrobe, this takes a single photoshoot and makes it look like multiple photoshoots, making the content more useful.
For Riley, we started at Jump in downtown. We wanted a modern location, with different textures and walls, and I’ve spent a lot of time at Jump and always love watching the light across the different lines of the building and structure.
Next we stepped into the studio at Boise Urban Studio to do some lifestyle photos of Riley podcastings, as well as more branding photos in a different setting. I love the natural light in Boise Urban Studio, this is a location I’ve been using a lot for my clients, and. I love it. It’s also so convenient and close to so many other great locations in and near downtown Boise.
Riley has lost a lot of weight and focused heavily on his fitness, so we went down to the greenbelt for some running and exercise photos. I love the Boise Greenbelt Truss Bridge, so even though we had to walk a ways to get to it, I chose that for our exercise photo location and I’m glad I did it worked great.
After some time on the Greenbelt, we headed to the Idaho Capital Building. The stairs, the pillars, the tunnel and the unique vantage point on downtown were all useful to us for Riley’s photos.
Next we headed to a nearby parking garage (BTW parking garages are highly underrated photoshoot locations), where we were able to get the capital building and the Boise foothills in the background.
We finished the photoshoot at sunset at the Military Reserve overlooking downtown. There we took photos of Riley with a motorcycle, hiking and mountain biking. Some clouds had moved in and I was so grateful when they cleared out for a spectacular sunset.
Thank you to Mark with Alturas Photography for the assist on this photoshoot, it was so helpful to have another set of hands on deck. Thanks Riley for trusting me with this photoshoot, so great working with and getting to know you!
